Hello friends, welcome to my living room! I’d love to share a sneak peek into our 1930s Dutch colonial cottage and offer a few tips on our take of country living.
Our vision for the room – modern meets natural materials in a space that feels polished yet welcoming. We started with subtle hues of white that bring a sun-drenched effect to the original knotty pine paneling.
For an anchor piece, an original Noguchi coffee table (a family heirloom!) provides clean lines and a contemporary edge.
Pops of persimmon add an earthy touch to the pair of creamy linen sofas flanking the fireplace.
An ethereal feeling is created over the mantel with an antiqued mirror in a gold washed frame.
My shell collection from Edisto Island atop Labdoc’s leather books is a sweet reminder of our South Carolina connections. Hope you enjoyed the little tour! Please click here for more photos of our Irvington home.
